Project CONN-CEPT: A Journey Towards Quality Curriculum |
| SAMDOG Films latest project premiered at Foxwoods casino on Friday, May 12th, 2006. The Promising Practices in High Quality, Standards-Based Curriculum Development Conference was the conclusion to the Javits Grant that was awarded to the Connecticut State Department of Education in 2002 The morning featured introductions by Fran Rabinowitz, Associate Commissioner of Education and Dr Doris Kurtz, Superintendent of New Britain Pubic Schools. Dr. Carol Tomlinson spoke about the key features of high quality, standards-based curriculum for all students. The fifty-four minute documentary ended the morning session and was well received by the educators present. An attendee commented, “The video was awesome! I laughed, I cried, and loved the magical moments of learning you captured with the kids in the classrooms!” |
